Intact Digital was founded in January 2016, supported by the Accelerate Programme at the Cambridge University Judge Business School, United Kingdom. Based in the heart of Silicon Fen, the company engages computer science and business experts to provide an effective and sustainable platform for long-term hosting and use of legacy software.
Intact Digital is the first service of its kind, redefining the relationship between technology providers and technology users for the benefit of both. By extending and managing the technology life-time it protects the value of data, knowledge and technology investments and enables ethical and responsible technology innovation.
Following 17 years at Microsoft Research UK, Natasa founded Intact Digital, to bring to market economically sustainable solutions for mediating the risks of digital obsolescence and managing software life-cycles to enable long-term use of digital content, data and knowledge.
With a PhD in Applied Mathematics, Natasa began her computing career in the 1990's in the United States as an early recruit of Claritech, a successful spin-off from Carnegie Mellon University, and continued with her tenure in industrial research and academia. She is Professor Emerita at the University of Nottingham following her position as Chair of Data Science at the School of Computer Science.
As a member of the UNESCO Preservation Subcommittee and Chair of UNESCO PERSIST Technology and Research Workgroup, Natasa contributes to the global effort to preserve the Digital Memory of the World and to formulating policies for digital preservation. Natasa's vision is to enable digital continuity and create lasting digital estates for organizations and individuals. Intact Digital is an important step in that direction.
